Hey guys i have a 2002 GT supercharged, needless to say i have bent a rod.. I was needing a stock short block for a temporary fix while me other block was getting stroked, heads, cam, intake, and headers. If u know anyone who has one r where i can get one please let me know..

and will the short blocks out of the crown vics and other 4.6l cars work?

Thanks

www.stangparts.com has some used ones for $1450 comes with heads and intake too tho, not sure if you were wantin to spend that much on a temporary motor tho. I'm sure you could call them and get them to send you a short block tho, they've got a few of the motors from what i've seen.

Not sure where else, maybe Barefields or one of the salvage yards around the area. Or Ebay

Edit: Yah, short blocks from crown vics and grand marquis should work, same engine just diff power level i believe. It'd be worth a try tho. I know my grandpa's '03 Grand Marquis has the same exact motor as mine, except his intake goes to the driver's side

look into a 4.6 explorer long block for 2k or less. sell the extra parts you dont use. plus you will save 70lbs on the front end with the aluminum block

My passenger side head just messed itself so I'll be replacing the whole shabang. It's a 99 2v with about 84,000 miles. If you want it I'll pull it out early and let the short block go cheap. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it. I'll have to pull the heads off anyway, so it shouldn't be hard to check. Just make me a good low offer.

BTW, does anyone know if this response is against the rules? I know it's not the classifieds and all.....
