My mustang has been out of commission over the winter outside (I know I am a bad mustang owner! ) while I was rebuilding the frontend and such. I started the car a few weeks back and noticed a terrible wobble in the engine that gets worse with revs. I do not remember having any problems this bad before I i tore into the frontend. I do have a semi lumpy cam but this is shaking the car pretty good.

I have not torn into it other than to verify that the plug wires are all on and there is not a leak in the intake/carb.

what would be the next steps you would try? Thanks

Could just be skipping, pull the cap and see if it's wet, and check the wires for leaks. Not a bad idea topull the plugs either.

I'm not sure what you mean by "wobble", but I'm guessing you mean it's running rough. My wife's Corvette has this problem if I forget to drain the carb before winter. If your garage is cold or damp (in Portland, I'm guessing it's both) the moisture in the air can and will make it to the fuel system, especially with modern, oxygenated gas. You may need a carb rebuild, but try some fuel injector cleaner since it contains methanol which helps the engine digest water. If that doesn't work pop the fuel bowl off and have a look inside. If you see an algea garden in there, it's time for a rebuild.
