Need TB adn EGR Spacer Gaskets..

trick flow makes a stud kit that comes with a bunch of gaskets. i think it came with 2 tb gaskets and 2 egr gasket(1 for 65mm and 1 for 70mm) and it comes with all the studs and bolts needed. i got myne from mustangs unlimited for 15 or 20 bucks

Depends on the year Explorer intake you got. Mid year 97 they made a switch from internal egr (just like the Stangs) to an external egr arrangement. The 95/96/early 97's are set up pretty much like the Stangs were; the late 97's-00 don't have the egr porting inside the intake. Easy way to tell which you have is looking at the upper/lower interface - if it has a small hole in the middle between the 4/4 intake ports - it has internal egr.

I guess you know you've got to do some throttle linkage work to make the Explorer t/b work in the Stang application?

I made a circular adapter plate out of 1/4" thick aluminum to make it fit. After bolting the aluminum plate to the existing linkage, I mounted the arm with the ball stud off the old throttle body on the adapter plate. It works great and looks neat. You will need an aircraft type countersink for one of the bolts that secures the plate to the explorer linkage arm. It ends up being under the arm with the ball stud for the linkage.

A trip to the welding shop with the explorer TB and the arm from your old Mustang TB would probably accomplish the same thing. I didn't have access to a welder, so I fabb'ed the plate in my shop. I took about 1.5 hours to do it, it was a measure, cut, and fit type of operation.

tmoss can tell you how to remove the linkage from the shaft and rotate it - 90 degrees I believe - so that it's configured correctly to receive the Stang cable, although jrichker's linkage sounds deliciously elegant.
