As those who live in VA know, front license plates are required by (a stupid) law. But I'm planning on moving to Nevada where the law states that a front plate is only required if there is a mounting location. Since I think that the front plate completely ruins the front of the Fox3 GT, I told the bodyshop guys to remove the license plate bracket.

Now comes the dilema...I'll be in VA until approx early September so I still need a front license plate..but when I leave for NV, want to be able to remove it and make it so it was never there so I don't have to apply a front plate.

I'm trying to think of a way to fabricate something that will be bolt in (perhaps to the bottom of the radiator support) that will hold the front plate but when I remove the bracket it will be like nothing was ever there.

Just looking for ideas.

we have to have them here but some guys with body kits and stuff that don't want to wreck the front bumper will set the plate on the dash in the front window when they are driving.....

ya the stock ones just bolt up into that opening. you can put the screws into the front of the bumper, but if you dont do that then itll be like it was never there

my plate is up in the window pretty much hidden behind the wiper lol. no trouble at all

Yeah, but I don't wanna put it in the window. I just don't like it. I'm really thinking of some kind of arm that will come out of the lower opening and have a cross beam on it that I can mount a plate to. Just something that doesn't destroy the front bumper cover.

found this in another thread

it works. It mount up UNDER the bumper so that when I go to take it off, no one will ever see that it was even there.
