I'm the guy that's putting a 68 tailight and 68 front end on a 89 mustang.

Since I have nothing to work with, I am using replacement parts where possible, but I'm having to hand fabricate alot of stuff. I was wondering if any of you guys have some pictures of what the supporting structure looks like behind (and under) the grille.

Thanks,
Mike

thanks, any chance you're gonna remove the silver painted curved assembly? I need to see what's under there.

It's all off the car now and hanging in my shed. The silver surround is still attached to the lip under it and the headlight buckets. If you can PM me this weekend I should be able to pull it out, flip it over and take some pics. I'll forget otherwise.

I'd also suggest getting a copy of this book:

Amazon.com: Mustang 1964 1/2 - 73 Restoration Guide (Motorbooks Workshop) (9780760305522): Tom Corcoran, Earl Davis: Books

You may be able to find it used on ebay for a little less. It has ton's of break-away diagrams for parts on the classic mustangs. My book has helped me numerous times in changing my car from a 6 cylinder to V8, since a lot of the parts are different and I don't have a V8 car to use as a reference point.

Finally got back from a long list of errands, sorry it took so long. Let me know if you need a close up of any area. As you can see the lip of mine is bent up at the center, probably from an old collision.
