I'm building an 86 coupe for some Autocross and light track work. I plan on going to a 5 lug conversion setup, I just don't know which route to take. The car currently is set up for 1/4 mile with moser 33 spline axles and c-clip eliminators. Up front it's stock with 86 spindles.

If I get late model spindles (sn95) will they fit? Then what?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you get new spindles, you'd also have to swap to sn95 brakes. Being 5 lug, you'd need new wheels. Unless you want different wheels front and back you need to change your new axles for 5 lug ones. Baer makes a kit complete with everything except spindles. Maybe that would work. www.baer.com

just be careful with those eliminators when autocrossing. taking corners fast/sharp can put an extra load on em and may cause damage or leaks. just what i heard, so i could be blowing you smoke.

Actually I think you are correct, the C Clip Eliminators are great for drag racing because the dont see any side loads, but all the turning in Autocross will probably make the seals leak in no time.

well thats the thing, you can't. cause you have to cut the end of axle flange off to accommadate the c-clip eliminator. you pretty much have to get another rear end.
