okay my friend and his brother want to race here is the problem his brother has a 04 sti with exhaust and intake. my friend is buying a 89 mustang with a kenny bell supercharger with 11 pounds of boost it is a 5spd car. the guy who is selling the mustang to my friend said it has 345 hp. it a convertible also. what do u think

11 pounds boost and only 345 ponies???? that doesn't seem to add up to me since a holley or edelbrock power package will give you 350 ponies on a 302. them sti are hard to beat specially from a stop. your friend will have to have some sticky tires and get some suspension mods so he can plant power to the ground.

yah i would say about 400-430 at the wheels.

what else does the mustang have besides the kenne bell? if he is talking 340 at the wheels then that sounds about right assuming that the car is relatively stock

yep, if he can drive. If the car is otherwise stock except for the kenne bell it will be easy to get some nicer numbers on it.

TRACTION!

Your friend is going to need a hell of alot of it! The STI's wouldn't be to much to beat if they didn't grab so damn hard, The one my friend has grabs so hard it'll knock the hat off your head! Its crazy how damn hard they grab in each gear, you can launch them at 6,000 and only chirp the tires! If your friend can get traction, he'll drive past him, he's going to need alot of traction.
