This week I swapped to a console out of a 03 Cobra. All is well except the acc. outlet; the plug is different from my 96 harness. I had a guy look at it, said I needed a plug adapter, and he got it for me. However, now I can't get him to help me with it, so I am stuck working on it myself. I have an adapter that plugs into the 03 console and comes out with 3 wires. My stock harness has 2 wires running into a bulb, a black wire, and a blue/white wire with some type of connector on it. Can anyone offer any advice on how to hook this up? Thanks for any input.

Is there any harm in getting the wiring backwards? I think I am just gonna start taping them together until I get the right combo, but just want to make sure it won't hurt anything (new to all of this). Not sure about the numbers, I will check and see, probably will find out sometime tomorrow. Thanks.

instead of just trying different wires id get a multi-meter and start checking different leads, otherwise youll most likely just blow a fuse. you can get a cheap one anywhere like meijer or autozone.

then id check both years wiring diagrams..and go from there.

Where can I find the wiring diagrams? I had a mm at one point, I will have to see if I can find it. However, would the mm give me a reading on the wires coming from the acc. plug? Since it doesn't have power, I wouldnt think so, but I am new to all this. Thanks.
