Stangnetters,

I'd like to replace my whole intake from throttle body on down. There are so many products and set ups, I'm not sure what to get. So far on my 02 GT manual I have a Magnapack and a K&N filter. I'm still deciding on a mid pipe.
Its between a M-flow offroad or a Prochamber. What about a "spacer", "plenum", "MAF senssor"? I'm really a novice when it comes to this stuff and I look to you guys to help with my decisioins. Thanks in advance

The stock intake w/ a drop-in K&N filter is enough for 250-260 rwhp SAE. That's the most you'll see with the current bolt-on mods. offered for our GT's.

Don't waste your money on an aftermarket intake unless you are going for looks.

The stock MAF is fine too.

get the Vortech kit.

seriously though. as far as performance, cold air induction kits won't gain you any hp on your car. buy whichever one you think looks best.

midpipe - Dr. Gas o/r X pipe will probably get you the most power.

spacer - won't do much of anything.

plenum - so far, Accufab seems to add the most hp.

MAF sensor - you don't really need one yet.

i hope this helps.

The Bullitt intake is really the most non-hardcore full intake thats made so far..

Q is what are you goin to do later ? Are you goin to supercharge/turbo it later..
Cause if you thinking about a Kenne Bell i wouldnt do anything cause the KB is the whole intake..
Vortech/NOVI..ect the C&L, Trueflow, Accufab do pretty well with the PI plastic lower intake. But the Bullitt intake loves boost but is pricey.. Personaly i didnt see the gain that i hoped for going with the bullitt N/A..

hope that helps alittle..

Hmm, well if getting all that pricey new stuff won't help with hp or torque...what about a shaker system...you know true cold air like on the Mach 1's. Is it just for show or does it help?

Well I have the C&L plenum, Accufab 75mm TB, C&L inlet pipe with a K&N air filter attached to a Pro M MAF adapter. I have the C&L MAF heat shield on order to repel the hot air.

Looking for a Ford Anderson Motorsports CAI ? Best there is I promise, and it's so pretty. Ceramic coated for appearance, and to keep heat out, huge diameter pipe, mandrel bends, and it the only one I know of that holds the whole MAF outside the engine bay. I'm only selling mine b/c I'm getting a Paxton soon. I'd also consider an upper intake plenum, and suggested throttle body. C & L should be out with a new lower intake manifold this summer. Get a K & N, and remove your MAF screen. Maybe get a new MAF which may be better for a s/c application later on -

Just had the Bullitt intake installed this week along with the Densecharger 95mm full length metered system, and don't know the #'s yet, but I can definately feel the difference.

Your going to lose a lot of power with that heat shield on. Been there, done that. Your better off leaving the cone on by itself, or going back to the factory box.

i replaced my stock intake tubing with a smooth metal one (24 bucks on ebay) between the throttle body and the maf. i also have the filter exposed under the hood. and i can honestly say i do feel a definatly difference in pull and an earlier pull when u get on it.
