Need your guys' opinion on my kit...

Well i went to put my D1 sc on today to find out that its for a 99-04 bracket. My stupid friend and i'm stupid for listening was like,"its a 4.6 it will work." Well the damn thing didn't.

The blower kit had less then 3k on it and i got everything but the fuel pump for it. I paid $3,000 for the kit, did i over pay for it? I think i might sell it cause i need to change my heads/cam to get the best out of the blower. I really don't feel like putting so much money at once in this thing like i did with my other stangs.

If i sell it i'm going to get heads/cam/intake and once i get the block redone maybe a blower or turbo. I think i just got excited when i bougt this car and just spent to much money. First 2 weeks i had the car i bought GT4 wheels 18s with nittos all around, HID kit for the head lights and fogs, smoked cobra lights, full exhaust, and the blower.

I really just wanna say F it and get everything but need to take my time. What do you guys think? I know we've been all there pissin money away. lol

I think you got a pretty good deal on your D1-sc. The D1 is a very good blower and is a substantial upgrade from the usual P1-sc I believe the upgrade isnt cheap either.

What mods have been done to your car? I take it that since your talking about heads and cams your still running the NPI stuff. I recomend you keep the blower because you got a damn good deal on a low milage setup and you can still make over 300 rwhp with it. You also have the option of cranking up the boost a little in order to make more hp. I would start saving for a PI swap and forged bottom end and enjoy the blower in the meantime. Also you should be able to find the correct bracket for your car online on the cheap if you look around. You could also sell the one you already have to make up the differance.

So I guess a new bracket for your car will not work. I forget how procharger is, I know with vortech you just need the right bracket

Yea i need a new bracket i been looking for the part number for a 98 GT but can't find it to save my life. As for a Vortech bracket on my 5.0 it was huge compared to my bracket on my D1 sc.

just call procharger and them you need the bracket. I am sure they will tell you how to get one.

But sounds like you got a stellar deal.
