Ok, i pulled an ECU from a mass air 5.0 (not sure the year exactly). Its a remanufacture i guess. It has the following part numbers on the remanufacture label

Number: 8-4441
DC Code: 0104km

I also peeld back the black paint that coverd the original ford label and it has the ford part number DZ1 ( E7sf-12a650-Z1B). Id think the original part number doesnt mean anything now, so if anyone has any idea on where to find the information or knows, id be much ablidged

I don't have a DZ1 in my database. I do have an ADZ1, which is for a 4.0 Ranger/Explorer.

The part number E7SF would seem to indicate it is for a Thunderbird. Sorry I can't tell you more. I would think the rebuilders would rebuild it for the same application though.

OK.. I found a E7SF-12A650-Z1B
It's for a Federal emissions 88 Mustang convertible built after 5/88 with 5.0 and manual transmission.

So... is that for speed density or mass air?? I know he said it came out of a mass air car, but i thought mass air was 88 model year california and 89-up model year federal. Hmm
