Long story short, I'm putting together a '88 GT for my son as a surprise. Just making it road worthy etc, and he can wrench the details out. Anyways, it does need paint, and am wanting to make it a dark maroon. I think I found a pic on here somewhere of the color I'm looking for, but can't find the thread again.

Anyways, if some of you could post some pics (or claim the pic I attach if I can figure out how) and hopefully you have the paint name or code for giving to the body shop, it would be greatly appreciated. It will help solidify another young mustang nut. (He's already helped put together the first half of a '65 build we are doing, The 88 is will be his)

Dang they all look good. 90lx. Yours is a bit deeper kinda like what I'm looking for. Was also looking at the merlot color they used on the. 2004. Anniversary edition mustang. Anyone compare that to your current?

90lx. You have a paint color name for yours at least?

its not a mustang color, not sure what it is exactly, just go to any paint shop, and have them modify a color you like

Yes, my car. I wouldn't call it dark maroon. The shade of maroon does slightly change depending on light source. Brighter in direct sunlight, darker with less sunlight.

Here's another Wild Strawberry code EL. This color is awesome, it is dark maroon in some lights and vibrant and metallic in others.
