well, i thought it was just on bank 2, but i pulled them today and got a 0172 and 0175 (rich on bank 1 and 2). its wierd though, i always got the "rich on bank 2" code before bank 1. normal?

my mods are in the sig plus a few other things...

180* tstat (tapped the tstat housing, not the crossover)
no maf screen or silencer
new motorcraft o2 sensors for both sides
new plugs gapped correctly with new 8mm wires

maybe EGR's bad? maybe the tapped housing isnt letting it get into closed loop correctly?

another thing. i've had the same codes before when i just had the PI manifold. but the wierd thing was, i always got them after i reset the comp, but then after getting them cleared at autozone, they'd stay away for good. only time they came back on was during a long trip to virginia. then i had it cleared down there and it hasnt come back on until after the headswap.

has anyone else had a rich code with the headswap? i dont have the money for a tune, but should i be getting a cel like this? are the sensors even read at WOT (where a tune would be needed)?

car idles perfect and runs strong, so im stumped now.

could be the MAF sensor. i know on fords from that era its common when there is a rich code for both sides the MAF sensor could be the problem.

i already cleaned the maf sensor even the iat sensor

i've heard of people having problems when removing the maf screen. maybe that's the cause?
