I got a new 04 GT about a week ago. I have already replaced the stock mufflers with Flowmaster 40s. I would like to add more mods, but the problem is my knowledge of cars i pretty much limited to changing my oil and i know enough to get by. If you guys could kinda let me know what mods to get and it what order.
I see alot of posts about a plenum....and acufab. Not sure what thses are, but im interested.

I plan on keeping this Mustang for awhile and im looking to squeez as much HP out if it as i can over time.

Thanks

first thing I did was get a new intake, did'nt really notice to much difference but definatly needed. I got some 2 chamber flows welded in, really made car sound better. after that you might want to look at x-pipe or h pipes, I got a mac prochamber, awsome. once you go for some power, look into handleing/suspension. after that headers, timing adjuster, pulleys....supercharger

I will repost new pic with my smoked headlights, looks way better.

get a K&N replacement filter , then get an accufab plenum and TB to replace the factory pieces on top of your engine . then i would probably look at the superchips tuner unless you wanna put a supercharger or nitrous on it , maybe some longtube headers

There arent any good intakes for our cars that are less than 1000 dollars. a cold air kit is not an intake. Cold air kits are mainly for looks. You make pick up 1-2 horse with them.

first mods should be gears, mid pipe, shifter and that should be a fun ride for now.

...I can take it. I think.

5 speed? Get a short throw shifter. Pro 5.0 or Steeda Tri-ax are good ones. Pretty easy to do yourself and you will love the difference. I wouldn't do too much while it is under warrenty unless that doesn't matter.

Tri-X or Steeda shifter (easy install with basic hand tools). Gears next.
