Okay so I have finally decided to buy an '05 Stang Gt in February. I'm going to go with:

Sonic Blue GT Deluxe
Leather
IUP
Active Anti-theft
Medium parchment Interior (I know Everyone says go Black but I decided to go a little differnt

I am going to be buying my first new car and I had a couple of questions. How should I go about getting a good price? How much should I be able to get the options above for? Does anyone know who the Best dealer is in the general KS region (I am willing to drive anywhere in the State)? I really appreciate the guidance I have recieved thus far on the forums. So If any one has suggestions I would love to hear them.

Thanks

D

Well I decided to make a trip to the two Ford dealers in town. Both of them had their cars marked up at least 2000 over stickers on the v6's! I laughed but I don't know If I can deal with either of these places So now I am back to square one. Am I the only one that refuses to pay sticker much less the 2000 in mark ups?

With the low demand right now, you'll be paying sticker.

I paid sticker, and I don't regret it. The car rules.

PS....get the GT.

Pay as close to invoice as you can. Nobody with any financial sense pays msrp for a volume car. Never believe the nonsense car salesmen will lay on you about how these are rare, hard to get etc. The dealers will be flooded with these cars by spring. Ford has the capacity to produce hundreds of thousands of Mustangs. The wallets of the gotta-have -it-now guys will be quickly unloaded. The buyers market that has existed on these cars for thirty years will return very soon whether the dealers and previous marked up buyers like it or not.

That's kinda why I was waiting until feb. My second reason is because I want to buy a stick and I want to learn to drive the stick properly before I get a new car with a stick. Reason three is too get through must of the harsh Kansas winter.
