My previous best was a 1.9 60' 13.9@97 mph. This was with bullet mufflers, H pipe, gt40 intake, e cam, timming at 10* on tire, stock gear/heads. That's on an OK time.

I made a few adjustments and let her rip. I put in a 180 deg thermostat(car was running really cool, love it), upped the timming to 17*, ran a short belt that bypassed the smog and p/s pulley. I wanted to disconnect my front sway bar but I ran outta time.

Same 60' at 1.9 (I seriously need some 3.73's ) with a 13.4@101mph. Not bad, my goal was to crack triple digit mph and a 13.5 or better. So people, free mods do work! Next time will be with 3.73's, hopefully I can break off a 1.6-7 60'. I would love to get a 13 flat or in the 12's with stock heads all motor 302.

with like a 1.8 60' 102mph trap would bring you to a 13.2, your best bet at this point to hit 12's with stock heads would be lighten your car up, remove a/c, spare/jack whatever else you dont need.....and go with a set of 4.10's should bring your mph and crap def get you low low 13's if not 12's, also make a pass at 18* timing, then a pass at 17* then a pass at 16* see where you trap the best...good luck

Good times and traps! What octane gas are you using? I need to try playing with the timing a bit myself. I've always run 14*.
