I'm new to this forum. Having been a member of crownvic.net since 8/2002, I'm used to the forum format. However, I am not familiar with the layout of this forum and am kinda shooting from the hip on this post.

Anyway, last Friday May 6 I bought a black 2012 Premium V6 fresh off the truck. Sunday I drove it down here to Decatur, TX on business and totally love the car! I arrived after 270 miles relaxed with no aches or pains which I couldn't claim after trips in the 3 Crown Vics I've used. It was great! I averaged 26.7 mpg against a strong headwind and driving thru several smaller towns. So it was maybe 80% highway driving.

I can't say I'm totally sold on the sync system. It's sluggish and apparently is a foreigner with a hearing problem. I have found myself screaming at it! I don't see my using it beyond the cellphone application.

I love the GT 5.0, but the added price and $67/mo added insurance wasn't worth the maybe 1 second 0-60 advantage. I was impressed with the guts of the V6. I'm grandpa on the gas pedal but like to punch it just on a whim and enjoy the rush!

The V6 has a nice exhaust note. It's not the throaty 5.0 rumble, but not bad.

I've tested the V6 Challenger and the V6 Camaro. I leased a new Camaro for a 3-day trip to amarillo. It was...eh...OK, but the visibility sucked. The Challenger is a POS. The Camaro is a distant 2nd to the Mustang

Ford did good on this one!...

Yeah, the Camaro and the Charger are just huge goof balls of cars. The Camaro at least looks decent, but both are a joke. I'd still have my whimpy 4.0 V6 over them.

This was a great post for me to read, i've owned a few mustangs now (in sig) and the POS daily driver car that I have now id just falling apart and its time for a new one before i get a huge repair bill. And the V6 mustangs really have peaked my interest. I have always hated the V6s because, well its a V6 =) But im 28, and an old man now with my driving....305hp and 31mpg seems pretty nice. I'm getting 18mpg and paying near $80/week to fill it with gas.

I was debating looking into the camaro, I may second guess that after this post.
