Went to the track sat and it was pretty good until after the very first run when they shut me down for going to fast!! Right off the trailer went 11.65 @116 and that was at half throttle through almost all of first gear. Very first time out with this new motor and I still have a pretty much stock c-4 so I didn't want to break something very first run so I took it easy a bit to make sure everything was o.k. Had to slow it down to 12's otherwise they said they'd trailer me. I know she's got a couple of more tenths in her yet. Can't wait to get down to the other track that is IHRA. Don't need a cage until 11.49 there but I might need a cage there too!! Don't worry though, I don't think I'll ever cage it. Probably buy a rolling chassis next and put this motor in that then put my old windsor back in this thing.

Check your sig. I don't think Mach 1's are front wheel drive . Excellent times! sounds like a blast.

heh, I"ve always thoughted 393 or 396 strokers sounded a little better (just the name, 393/396 both sorta roll off the lips, I doubt I could hear a difference in engine sound heh), but 408s certainly haul.

Suspension mods are just summit 90/10 front shocks. Rear sus. mods are just caltracs that I have to get adjusted. Still spinning.
Scat stroker crank, h-beam rods, probe pistons. 10.5-1 compression. Vic jr heads with a custom hyd roller from FTI. Perf rmp intake with proformed 750 holley. 1 5/8 headers. Stock c-4 with shift kit and cheap ger 3000 converter. 4.11's.
Denny, what is your combo?? Always like to hear other peoples just to compare to see if I should change anything.
Hack, went to rock falls muscle car shootout on Sun. That is an NHRA track. We also go down to Cedar falls Iowa which is an IHRA track. I also went to Brainerd for their Musclecar shootout last Sept. I am going again this Sept again. That was a blast.
Was going to go with the 393 but I got a deal on the 408 kit from adperformance. Same price for the 408. Just more cubes=more power for the same price. I think the kit was $1100.
I would love to show pics of the car but I don't have a digital camera. I will try to get something.

I have a carbd 408W that i am dropping in a 68. It was made custom from Panhandle Performance and will probably make about 560-570 fwhp. it was desinged to handle boost so i will be putting on a procharger eventually. It is backed by a Peroformance Automatic C4 with custom convertor and a complete aeromtive fuel system. i wil bee spending the next couple of weeks putting it back together and i cant wait to drive it. just hearing about your car gets me pumped.

Sure. I will try to get a hold of you. P.M. or something.

11.99 is right for NHRA. That's why they shut me down. You need a roll bar, fire jacket, and the harnesses. Don't have any. But like I said, IHRA rules are 11.49.

Hey 68stroker, could you tell me a bit about what you got in your combo?? I mean like heads, cam, intake, etc?? That sounds awesome. If you drag race, you'll be in the same boat I'm in though, lol!!
