new alt and bat no charge!

guys help me out here,
its about 89 50 i replaced the alternator, alt plug, serp belt, and battery.

i still have the alt light and the battery is not charging.

i need to know how to go about testing the charging circuts with a miltimeter to find the fault(where do i probe)?
