I´ve heard (Ford muscle magazine) about Dart aluminum heads, for street small block, at 170cc and 1.94 1.60 valves, flowing 260@.0600. Is it for real? Anybody has flowing charts or any experience with those heads? These are bolt-on heads? Maybe a better and cheaper alternative to the famed but expensive AFRs..

When was the last time you saw a flow bench go down the track?

Never, but I saw a flow bench hitting someones monitor recently. Maybe some of you don´t know every performance part, heads in this case, before going down the quarter at 13´s,12´s ,whatever, has to face thorough research at the labs and comparison tests to get improvement. That´s how science works, and car enthusiasts use to know that.

It's been atleast a few months...

DART makes a good product, there is no doubt in my mind about that, however, I also believe that they are a sponsor of MM&FF....

I wasn't knocking the dart heads at all. I was just trying to get it stuck in peoples head that its NOT all about big fancy flow numbers. You know this as do I, but many don't.

Lets see what I can do with a junk, unported, tiny, under $1000 Twisted Wedge head

I would assume they are good heads, dart makes good products from what I've read about. I think either mm&ff or 5.0 did a test on a 347, they said it made the most power at that time. ( I think the frpp z304 heads were on it before??). I was looking into them for future upgrades if I ever get enough money for my vortech, but I haven't read anything esle about them, don't know if a lot of people use them.

i've gotta say that the exhaust flow is less than stellar, around 65% on both heads which could really hurt you blower guys, that's if my math is right cuz after all i'm pretty retarded. anyway just something i noticed. oh btw they didn't post any mid lift numbers and thats why afr's are so expensive.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
