Hi everyone I just found this board and it looks like a good place to start out.
I have been thinking about builting a fox body stang and I need a little help. I just was given a 88 Crown Vic with an EFI 5.0. Is there any differences from this moter and the 5.0 Stangs or are they the same? Im completly new to fords so any help would be great.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure but I dont think the motor you have is the high output (HO) motor. So the firing order would be different also.

and the cam, heads. those crown vic motor's arnt as aggressive as the one's in the foxes. that is why people swapped those motor's out to stang motor's just to be different then started modding.

I dont know how much for sure, but not much compared to the HO motor. I wouldn't really want one in my stang unless it was gone through and built up. You could have a machine shop turn the block into a roller and change out the cam, put some forged flat top pistons and some aftermarket heads and intake and be all set.

Oh, and after looking at the pic the intake is reversed from a mustang. Just incase you wanted to know. The stangs have the throttle body pointing twards the passanger side instead of the drivers side.
