Well its drag racing season and I started this season with 3.73's, BBK headers, a new balancer, and Red Line oils in the T5 and diff. I got a new best ET tonight on the same crappy street treads . I really need some DRs' . My average last year was 15.4's with trap speeds around 91mph. Hopping to break into the 14's soon .

60' 2.006
330' 6.147
1/8 9.562
MPH 72.23
1000' 12.520
1/4 15.013
MPH 90.58

Any idea what your elevation is? Those times seem high for a 5-Speed Coupe with 2.0 60's.

I just emailed Firebird Raceway to find out. It's not on their website. I am thinking that it is higher than most coastal states. I watch all the other late model Mustangs and they seem to run slower than they should also. But, I have a good time and that's all that matters!

Also, I got the shift light set to 5200rpm. Anyone think this too early or too late? I do shift fast but I also lift off the gas pedal for each shift.

Must be a high elevation because those trap speeds are pretty low for a 5 speed car.

I would try shifting 1-2 @ 5300, 2-3 @ 5100, and 3-4 @ 5000. That might help!

You did launch very well!

5200 is a solid mark for you to shift at.

2700' is the elevation for Firebird in Idaho. Anyone know how elevation effects a car at the dragstrip?

Found it on NHRA.com

There is a correction factor for my track . Found it on NHRA's website.
ET*0.9676 and MPH*1.0339
That makes 14.52 @ 93.65mph my corrected for sea level numbers.

Try adding a 100 shot of n2o and you will be in the 14's easy!
I ran 14.02 @ 98 mph @ Capital raceway in MD.
Added 100 NOS dry shot and ran 12.78 @ 109 on Drag radials
My dyno #'s were 228/278 to 325/450.

The n2o is inexspensive to purchase and install $500. If I would have not been so paranoid by all the horror stories and rumors, I would have bought it sooner. I installed it on my car with 129K and took it off when the blower was put in at 148K.
Sprayed almost everyday on the street. Just get a good tune, and be smart when using it. I ran it with stock injectors and pump and noticed a difference when a 255 was installed.
I miss that n2o PUNCH!

I ran 14.6 in the quarter at 3600ft with my mods in my sig. I used an elevation correction calculator and it said I should be around 13.8 at sea level.
