New best MPH & ET...questions too...

On the dyno Jet; 310rwhp & 301rwtq. You will probably notice the low torque numbers.... Origionally, we were going to put AFR185's on the motor. A friend ordered the custom cam\relayed the spec's two weeks before he was supposed too. I researched AFR's web-site; I realized that the stock pistons would have to be flycut, the motor was already balanced & assembled. i called; but it was too late. The RPMII intake is too big as well; but was prematurely ordered without my knowledge. So, my motor is nowhere near optimized & therefore the wierd numbers.
My previous best et was just a tad slower; [email protected](1.70 60 ft). I didn't do any tuning; I was too damb tired. i just wanted to run a couple times, bull**** with the guy's, & see the times run by other's. I figure with good air & optimzing everything I currently have; 12.50's are possible at that altitude & maybe a 11.99 at a sea level track. Not bad for my 400 mile a week commuter that drives just like a non tempermental stocker....

P.S. i haven't scaled it since the new motor was installed. At that time it weighed 3000lbs dry....

Sound pretty good to me, sound like with a bit of tuning/traction you should be able to crack off an 11. I have the same goals with my car right now as well....Did Jay Allen do your cam by chance? Or was it possibly Pony93?

Nope....It was Scott Mane of Cam Dynamics. Guy had a pretty good rep around here & I felt confident he can build a good cam.

I just wish my good friend, whom decided to finish building my motor for me without my knowledge, would have at least slyly consulted me or someone with half a brain FIRST!;)

First off; I'm glad to hear you figured out what was going on with you're "ride".

I ended up purchasing a FRPP steel SFI spec balancer from a friend for $120.00 "slightly used". He owns a repair shop, the balancer was just lying around, & I needed to spend less than $300 bucks!

I'm thinking I'm going to run it tomorrow night at Palmdale since I haven't raced in about 1&1\2 months.....I'm suffering from "severe racer withdrawl" symptoms right now!;) The track probably won't be prepped at all; last race day until mid January.... I know, we've got it so bad out here being able to race year round & all, huh? :rlaugh:

Don't they have the Hang Over nationals on Near Years day? I haven't run the Hang Overs in a long time but I'm pretty sure that they still do it on Jan 1st....this year probably 1st and 2nd....

I'd rather keep a 5 speed personally. I go through automatic transmissions horribly fast. They don't like me:(

hAAA I dont think the moonshine burn outs liked the clutch you ran a few years ago Mike. :p

Hehehehe...and my hangover didn't like the changing of the trannies, bell housing, cables, clutch, etc and looking for parts the next day either. I have to say that is something I will never forget, seeeing the piece of glowing red pressure plate at my feet sure was a sight. The divots we put in the asphalt from the burnouts is still there too!
