It's pretty simple actually. I'll give you a step by step:
You'll need a set of wrenches and sockets with an ratchet. A jack or two, jack stands, a prybar would help, some penetrating oil (WD40, PB Blast), a drill with some decent sized bits, and a BFH (big f'in hammer) just in case.
First jack the car up and put on jackstands supported under the rear subframes, lower the jack.
Soak everything down with the oil.
Remove the swaybar, two bolts on each side of the LCA's.
Use the jack to jack up on one side of the axel and pull the spring on the other side, may need prybar. Do the same to the other side, now the axel is unloaded.
Remove wheels for clearance.
Remove Quads
Remove controll arm and replace with the new one, one at a time. Tighen bolts finger tight.
- I know removing more than one seems to be easy, but then the axel shifts and makes it alot harder (dont' ask me how I know)
- when you remove the upper, use the drill to grind out the rubber and once it is broken loose, it all crumbles out, not near as bad as you might think.
Install new bushing, then controll arm.
Now that all controll arms and bushing are in, use the jack to put the axel about where it will be when driving, and tighten everything.
Jack up one side of axel, install spring, repeat for other side.
Put swaybar back on.
Put wheels back on, lower vehicle, your done.
