Get a custom cam if you're gonna change it. Comp Cams can do them, as can FTI, Buddy Rawls, Jay Allen, and there's probably more.

I have a Jay Allen cam. pricey, but worth every dime.

whats the rest of the setup? Try the Comp Cams XE line. the XE274 is a nice one with some good aluminum heads or the XE268 for a more mild setup.

Why a custom cam?

Is there that much difference?

I hadn't thought about getting one made!

a custom cam is one specificly setup for YOU! You work wtih a cam builder to design one that is tailored for your setup (rpm range, power adder, etc etc) to acheive the most power possible.

Ive found a crane cam, 3500 - 6885rpm.

Aggressive street, rough idle.

Nitrous / Supercharged application.

Sounds good to me!
