New Car-Need Help

Hello people. I haven't been too active in the StangNet Scene in the past year or so, but I am back. If some of you remember, I am the one who bought Jordanvraptor's Red 2000 GT last year. Well, I got rid of that car and got a new one. Well, not brand new, let's just say different. I now have a 2000 GT 'Vert. I would like to boost the performance a little bit and improve gas mileage. I am new to this and don't know a lot about cars, what should I do? I am open for all suggestions. I am looking to learn a few things. I was thinking about going with a K&N air intake, also, should I put the resistor in to trick my timing or should I just go out and get a diff mass air flow meter/sensor? Like I said any help would be appreciated. Also, I would like to start attending some of the StangNet events, (mostly on Friday nights) When something is going on, please keep the posts updated. Thanks in advance, Dan (hugger2371 soon to be JetBlackVert)

Well I would start with Fuel Filter, Plug wires, Exhaust, Cold Air Intake, Maf Sensor, T/B. Everyone on here is gona say a diffrent way it's what the person wants frist out of the car like I wanted it to sound better most of all so I started with the exhaust.
