New Cars Are Dumb

Trying to remember what this thread was originally about......OH yeah! new cars are dumb.

Well since my 2010 DD is basically my rolling office for work (25k+mi. yr.) I'm in the market for a new one every 7-10rs.
Given the amount of driving I do here in the Northeast it's usually something on the smaller side awd,
but trying to find something without a CVT is getting next to impossible. There's just something about a belt driven transmission that doesn't make me think longevity. Although the technology isn't new ,it seems mfgs. have varying degrees of success with it.
Anyways probably going Mazda CX5, zoo-zoom...lol

Grab an older Infiniti G sedan. They are pretty cheap (relatively speaking) out of warranty. Rock solid AWD for driving in the snow (mine was a tank that went everywhere and never got stuck) and mostly a RWD-biased system so fun to drive with 330HP.

I got nearly 180K miles out of mine before the driveshaft fell off the car at 80MPH. :)

CX-5s are the :poo: among CUVs. That's not saying much, but they are.
