New Cleveland heads & intake from Edelbrock!

At the SEMA show Edelbrock displayed prototypes of a new Cleveland aluminum head and RPM style high rise dual plane intake. The heads are a rough take off on the 2v design with a number of twists for improved performance.

sweet, it's about time someone besides the aussies started doing cleveland parts, hell i remember 10 or 15 years ago, you could hardly get any performance parts for the windsor because everyone was running clevelands, then the 5.0 aftermarket brought aluminum heads and such and the windsor was king. all the cleveland speed parts from the 70's just disappeared and the aussies had all the good stuff down under. i'm still a windsor fan myself but the cleveland can be a killer engine with the right mods

CRAP..I just spent a ton on some 4V quench heads..

Still a year away though..Thats the only part that sucks! They look awesome~!

I still think the 4v heads will run with the new Edelbrocks. I'll wait to see some dyno numbers and flow numbers for the Edelbrock heads. It definitely looks like a nice option, though.

So, If they went on a 5.0 block, would a regular rpm airgap work? And I guess the tunnels and everything match up?
I've not heard of running cleavland heads on a small block except the 351w.

No a regular RPM Airgap would not work, the lower block height of the 302 (8.2") would not allow it to line up with the heads. Essentially the 302 block is narrower. There were some speciality intakes made for a cleveland 2v head on a 302 block. Some are probably still made in Australia where this was much more common.

Yes, with 5.15" rods and 289 forged pistons.....
