Just got the clutch cable kit today, took 1 1/2 time to install. (On my 97 GT)

Kit comes with this:

MM Clutch Quadrant, MM Firewall Adjuster, MM Universal Ford OEM Clutch Cable (mm = Maximum Motorsports )

For only $122

I had the Steeda on my 89 car, but like this WAY better.

Old cable had 120K miles on it, was worn but not frayed yet.

Thought I would share !!

Other than replacing worn parts how does it effect the clutch feel, etc.?

So what differences did you notice? Different pedal feel or height or anything?

Just smoother and more precise adjustment.
Plastic quad was junk and teeth where worn.

A improperly adjusted setup wears out the throwout bearing.
MM made SO easy to set up right the first time my wife can install it, its that easy !!

MM quad is also quiet, no rattles like the Steeda I had....

Thanks for the info. I will be in the market for one when I get my clutch installed. Will have to keep MM in mind.

How I installed the kit.

Put car on ramps, remove drivers seat if you are fat, I am not so I did not.
Instructions are really good form MM

You have to reuse your old bracket, just open it up to get it off the old cable.

This IS a real easy mod.

Have any ?? Just ask !

i have the steeda quadrant and firewall adjuster.
I like the setup....I just dont like how the pedal vibrates sometimes and makes that annoying rattling sound! is that normal though? I would be concerned about it..but if I use my common sense...the stock quadrant was PLASTIC...and the steeda is Metal...so obvioulsy I would hear it rattle sometimes....

Look at MM instructions, MM knows most rattle. So its made differant and uses washers to keep it tight.

Like I said, both will work but I love how MM installs over the steeda
