New clutch issues

So I just got done installing a new clutch kit and flywheel, and am having a few issues. I installed an aluminum 12lb flywheel and an F1 racing clutch. I got a really good deal on it. When I was putting the clutch cable back on the fork, I had to push the fork back a bit to get the cable hooked. The fork was right in the middle of the opening when the bearing touched the pressure plate. Everything looked good, so I dropped the car and took it for a ride. Whoa.

The clutch grabs at the very top of the clutch now. Like, almost all the way out. No good. It's really shuddery, but I remember breaking in a Centerforce DF on an old 5.0, so I was sort of expecting it. The clutch doesn't go all the way down to the floor, either. Before, I could press the pedal all the way down to the floor, or at least what I thought was floor. Now, it stops at what feels like an inch before the floor, and has squishy pressure. Not clutch disengagement pressure; out of cable pressure. I can force it down, but it doesn't feel like a good thing.

How do I readjust the stock quadrant? The pedal has always been waaay out since I've owned the car, and it still is. I want to readjust it back to new clutch mode. I'm assuming that's where all of my problems are; in the stock quadrant. The clutch still grabs and holds great, and with the new fluid in the trans, it shifts awesome. It's just a completely different feeling clutch pedal, that grabs at the last minute, and with some authority. Any input or suggestions are greatly appreciated, as I can't stand taking off in 1st now, and I have to put 750 miles on this crap before I can go back to the track.

Remember this is a brand new clutch and flywheel, it will fill waay different especially since it hasnt been broken in. Waiting a small amount of time and doing the right thing and going with a aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster will allow you to put the pedal exactly where you want it...

But before you do any of that make sure you adjust the stock quadrant by pulling up on the pedal and pressing it down to the floor, not hard but like a normal granny shift.

There's just no adjustment left in this stock quadrant crap. I tried the extra click up, and it didn't really help. It's almost like it needs to be unadjusted. I don't know. I'm just hoping I didn't do something wrong.

Perhaps could the cable be stretched or caught up underneath the dash (waaay the F up there)?

To not hurt yourself try jacking the car up on the drivers side so you can get on a knee and take a look...

If not, a quadrant and firewall adjuster cant be more than 60$ish on ebay.

I just ordered this kit from Brenspeed. I hope it will help some, because this crap sucks. Are there any write-ups or suggestions on how to set the kit up once I get it? I've never messed with an adjustable clutch before.

Its not that hard for the quadrant and adjuster, just the cable might be a B**** to fight through from what I have heard, there also is a couple other writeups on some other projects there as well.

Also make sure when the kit is installed that the clutch doesnt release at the complete top of the pedal, it will stretch the cable and make you ride the clutch badly.
