New code P0174 and still poor gas mileage!!!

Aight guys, Just went back to advance auto parts and they read and printed my code P0174 system running too lean BANK 2.... I cleaned the MAF with some brake cleaner and disconnected the battery, but then a few starts later the light came back on... IM about to give up and take it to the dealer and take out a loan to pay them after they rape me!!:Damnit: crapola

Now im getting that its not the o2 sensors because they have their own codes....

Also after closely inspecting the gas mileage, i noticed that at the tip of the pipes, they are BLACK as in burning oil or too much fuel.... and its smoking a little more than its supposed too....
I mean the car runs good, but theres other things as a I mentioned above, mainly the poor gas mileage and black s*** and smoke on my tail pipes...Oh and I can smell way too much gas in the engine its pretty strong...

I dont know does P0174 TOO LEAN BANK 2 narrows down to something in particular???

thanks

Bank 2 narrows it down to the drivers side (where the number 1 piston is.) This code is pretty common when the MAF gets dirty.. and cleaning it with some aerosol electrical cleaning spray may help (not sure about brake cleaner.)

As a last resort, depending on the mileage of the vehicle, you may just be due for a new (or pair) of o2 sensors.

I guess cleaning the MAF with aerosol cleaner is a shot. It just kind of hard to narrow it down, because I bought the car with this, so I dont know if the problem started when the off road x pipe was installed or what!!! Its confusing. You mean front o2 right???
thanks

Oh something else guys...'

So if p0174 narrows it down to the driver side o2. If i switch the front right with the front left vice versa, it should give another code right, because the bad o2 sensor would be on the passenger side now.... And if it still gives me P0174 that means its something else right???
MAF or what else??
