So, I realize that I will be needing a new dash for my '93 Notch. Knowing this, will any dash from 87-93 be a direct replacement/fit? I was thinking about checking with the local scrap yards but is there places online that I should be looking as well? Thanks for the help...I couldn't find much with the search function.

Also, having no knowledge of this process, could someone point me to a thread perhaps on a "how to" for the dash replacement? I don't even know exactly what all I need to fix the two damaged areas of my current dash ( the two tabs that hold the instrument/speedo, gas gauge, lights etc. bezel are broken and the flat area above the center of the radio where the guy mounted the tach is broken-both being plastic) Thanks.

You will probably need a dash from a 89-93 since they are the airbag versions but I have been wrong before.

Direct bolt in dash would be an 90-93 dash. You could use an 87-89, but it will require mods and you'll need a center console.

Color matching is a different story 1993 was a unique year with several 1 year only colors. If you have grey, you are limited to a 1993 grey dash only

Mike is right. If you are concerned about color matching, the 93 red is also a darker red than the earlier colors. The only color that is the same, or at least almost the same, is black.

big 10-4 on the colors. i had an argument with a friend once over different shades of gray when i had titanium 90/91 seats (adjustable knee bolster) in an 88 smoke gray interior out of necessity and it annoyed the piss outta me. he argued over and over that it was the same color it was just the lighting that made it look different...whatever effect that would have...??

93 is Opal Gray and is significantly different than both the smoke gray and titanium that came before. Opal Gray when compared next to the other grays has almost a bluish tint to it. While the red is closer to previous reds than the grays are to each other, it is a few shades off.

I have read that the Black got a name change as well.

90-92 was Ebony and in 1993 it was called Black. Unsure if the color changed though.

Thanks for the heads up on that...the lower part of the dash is gray while the upper parts are black. Is there an online place to get a new dash if I can't find one in the junkyard?

Thanks again!
