Hey guys. Well, the day has come to make the stang a weekend warrior. Today in about another hour or two I will be picking up my new DD. It will be an 07 Dodge Caliber. Not a Ford but couldn't beat the price. Its a 5sp SXT model and has a whooping 1.8L 4 banger, which is fine for me because it gets 28 mpg city, and about 34 highway. . Anywho I know , but hopefully I will get some later today for you guys. Oh, another cool thing, it has what is called a chill zone, Inside the glove compartment you can hold up to 4 20oz beverages and it keeps them cold. . Cant wait.

Yeah, it's a bad idea.

I need it to be able to hold 22 ounces, not 20. I guess I'll have to use 12 ounce long necks.

PSA: Don't drink and drive because you might spill your drink.

I live in the neon/srt-4/caliber capital of the world. I'm gonna puke if they actually put the new evo x engine in that ugly excuse for a car. It's bad enough I have to deal with idiots in srt's, but soon calibers too

No offense to the original poster - it's nice when you don't have to DD the stangs.

Having a daily driver is great.

I even pick on V6 Stangs and honduhs in my DD.

Don't worry about the looks too much--that's why you have the Stang right?

A good MPG DD is a good thing to have man--especially when you have a long commute

i dont think the caliber is going to get the world engine (used in the EvoX) nor is going to ever get a SRT trim, however the Dodge Demon will likely get it (the world engine) in its SRT trim.

I believe the autos in the Calibers are of the CVT variety. Not sure if you guys have tried a CVT - especially connected to a motor that is not the smoothest, noisy and feels more like a rubber band in power distribution. Slow on pickup, but fine on once you get going. Also not proven in a new vehicle model. I think he went the right way with a stick on the little 4 cyl. You get the most out of it that way and get great gas mileage. For me, unless it's a family car or truck, I much prefer a stick in just about any car.
