i just put together a 5.0 windsor jr. heads, trickflow stage 1 cam, and a bbk ssi intake with a cnl mass air meter and 24lb injectors... after i got the timing and fuel preassure set it ran fine drove it to town and back now it wont idle just dies... tried changing iac along with map and mass air sensors... nothing the it surges below 1000 rpm and if u take ur foot off the throttle it dies completely and clue... im out of ideas

.

You will have to get a professional tune done before it will idle correctly. You can set the tps your self and it will help some but the tune is a must or the car will not run or idle correctly. Its worth every penny you will probably gain at least 40 hp or more from a good tune on a dyno

Pull the spout and unplug the IAC, the car will die but your goal will be to adjust the idle stop screw on the throttle body. The idea is to adjust it so that the car will keep the lowest possible idle without the IAC plug in and with the spout removed. Once you get it right plug the IAC and spout back in and then unplug the battery for a few seconds and then start up the car and see how it idles. let us know how it works out.

See the "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle/stall problems. The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.

Ok guys i reset the tps, and now the car wont choke off but it still surges. The check engine light popped on but i can't test it because the terminals are shot (I may just cut it off and put new connectors on it). A buddy of mine is coming over tomarrow to help me check to see if the mass air flow is power, because i unplugged it and nothing changed which is odd because i have tried 2 different ones, one new from autozone, the other off my buddys car that runs. Still the same behaivor. Any ideas guys?
