New ET Streets on :)

Pulled the stickers off and got em' mounted yesterday then a nice trip to the track. Unfortunately, I found out that the clutch is pretty much done. I would stage, get my revs up to 5K and the car would creep forward I'd then need to re-stage, get the revs up fast and dump the clutch. The car dead hooked but then would bog terribly only to pick right back up

At least I know these tires will hook!!!

Decent times even with a bummed clutch though! 13.2 @ 105

How much did those 4.10s help out your 1/4 mile, I was thinking about getting 3.73s. How much did those rubbers set you back. Nice ride

Very nice. We'll be ordering ET Streets next week for ours. I think we'll be going with the radials, though. The drive to the strip is about 25 minutes and also, I'm worried about how lose they get at the end. I know I can keep it under control, but I'm a bit worried about the old lady. And I know the radials are more than enough for now. I've seen people run 10's with them.

On another note, do I detect LucisArt in your post processing? That's one of my favorite filters.

I try not to put miles on my track tires but without a trailer or a truck to store a jack and street wheels in I have to drive on these sometimes. They're pretty stable as long as you're above 20 PSI.

I didn't take these pictures, my buddy did and I know he doesn't have Photoshop so not sure.

Pre 4.10's I was running mid 13's
Post 4.10's I've been running consistent 12.8's

Don't waste your time with 3.73's. 4.10's are definitely the way to go however you don't need them to get good times. I know of a few local S197's that run high 12's with the 3.55 gears!!!! It definitely humbles me to say the least

I got a mega deal on the tires ($100 each brand new with stickers on em').

Nope, just have some hookups. They were purchased by someone before me and they left a deposit. They never picked them up so I swooped in and took em'.

They hook so well though!!! I just wish my clutch wasn't on it's last leg.

i race at moroso too, hey cube what was you're 60 foot time and how much psi did you run?

also are you running any kind of suspension mods, or control arms?

I think he is wondering what the rim width is...

I have the same MT ET Street 26x11.5x17 on 17x9 Bullitt rims. I have been told that they will fit the stock 17x8 rims...

Brenspeed runs the ET Streets on stock 17x8 Bullitts. They sell it in a package. So it definitely can be done. I'm curious, though if the same can be done with the radials...

They're 17x9's. The actual stickers on the tire recommend to use 9, 10 or 11 inch wheels with these tires. 17x8 will fit but it's definitely not optimal.

The 275/40/17 MT ET Street Drag Radial is the same size of the 26x11.5x17 MT ET Street. They will fit 17x9 and I have heard of them being used on the the 17x8s.

That stated, I don't like the Radial's with a manual transmission car. I used to run 255/50/16 MT ET Street Drag Radials on my Mustang. The car would either bog or spin them, usually spin. That is the reason why I switched to the ET Street. I am going to switch my TBird to the ET Street as well because these tires are lighter than the Radials, roughly 7lbs a tire.

Yeah I was using the ET Street Drag Radial prior to the ET Street Bias Ply and I definitely like the later pair much more

So nice to be able to launch @ 5500 RPM's without (aftermarket) control arms and dead hook!
