Greetings All:

Monday, I'm putting on Magnaflow exhaust. I'm pretty sure my wife will notice. Now, she wants me to be happy and all that. I know why I'm replacing a perfectly good factory exhaust, but I'd like to be able to tell her that I'll get better mileage, or something. Does anybody know if there are non-aesthetic benefits to having a "performance" exhaust? Thanks.

Funny thing is most performance modifications to vehicles should yield better fuel economy due to increased engine efficiency........ in theory

In practice people get happy about the performance increases (whichever they may be, torque, sound etc.) and have a tendency to use the trottle more heavily and negate whatever fuel economy gains. This is especially true with Cold Air Intakes.

this is what i did with my Fiance....

Drive the hell out of the car before the setup... show her the gas mileage, then after the setup is on drive very very smooth and then show her the mileage differnce , hahahahahah It worked for me !
