I installed a brand new oe replacement complete fan assembly yesterday, as my old fan motor was burning up (The whole re-call, circut breaker thing). I brought the car up to temp, blasted the A/C, ect. Nothing.

-Which fuse runs the fan? Thats the first thing I'm gonna check when I get home today, totally slipped my mind yesterday.

-Is there any other thing it could be, or that could be causeing it to not turn on? I put everything back togather exactly how it is supposed to be. The repalcement fan went in easy. Perfect fit.

FYI: I know you can wire it up to come on manually, and I'm not interested in doing that. I just want it to work the way it is supposed to work, and come on when it's supposed to. Just wanted to put that out there, because I know someone will suggest it.

Thanks guys.

Scott, Paul is right. The first thing I would do is bench test the fan with a fused wire from the battery and your own ground. You need to know the motor you got is okay before ripping your hair out chasing the circuits.

If that passes for both speeds, then start chasing. There's a 60 amp fuse under the hood for the fan and there's a 10 amp EDF fuse. Check both.

For testing, if you have the key on and give CCRM terminal fourteen 12 volts, the low speed fan should come on. If that works, disconnect your jumper. Ground CCRM pin 17 and see if high comes on.

Alternative methods of fan function: You knew to turn on the AC. If you disconnect the ECT's electrical connector, the EDF relay control should turn the low speed on. If you run self diagnostic codes, both fan speeds should cycle at the start of the test.

Good luck.
