Well, it's been a while since I've posted on this thread. I figured I would post some new updates.

I figured out my overheating problem. Ford gauges just suck period. I'm running an aftermarket gauge for temp and voltage. I'll soon be running an aftermarket one for oil pressure as well.

Here's what she looks like from the inside... so far.

Then started with under drive pullies:

Water pump and alternator pullies

Crank Pulley

Installing

Here's an interior shot with the new gauges!

Oops! It's upside down!

Hmm... something came in!

They need some work, but I plan to reglass them

I then got hooked up with a Mishimoto Radiator (Thanks again Harvey!)

That helped PLENTY with my cooling issues... Thanks again Harvey!

Then I found a Laser Red Mustang at the yard!

It had the rear tail light bezels!

AND A RED DOOR!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Well, not tan, but I needed some better seats than what I got...
Thanks again Harvey!

Now that I had black seats... I needed some more interior to tie it together.
Off to the junkyard we go! Half off sale... damn there's a line!

Off to another junkyard... (Davis3's mustang in front of me)

We score a 96+ center console and a black carpet!!

Time to install

She's really starting to come together... more pics will come this weekend when I wash her and take a full pic.

Stay tuned!...

Nice build progress man! I'm sure it'll look awesome when you are finished. It's really fun watching the car transform from 'junk' to something really special isn't it? I know most of my fun in building mine was just taking in all the changes. Really gets you attached to it.

Looks like a really clean start too rust wise. The underside doesn't look too bad at all

Comin along great. Where did you get the gauge bezel? That seems more clean then a pillar.

It's an Autometer gauge bezel. They make a pure racing bezel too that completely replaces the instrument cluster. I bought it off a member here for about $40. I love it!

Thanks everyone for all the comments!

Did you paint it tan or did you buy it that way? I like the looks of that.

Great job with all the updates, car looks amazing now!

The previous owner painted it tan. It looks awesome! I love it, cause now the interior truly is symmetrical. I don't know why they didn't come that way from the beginning.

Ok, small update. I caught a 02 GT in the yard, and decided the PBR calipers were something I definitely need on the Stang. Here's what it looks like now

Also, the U-Joints were SHOT! Here's a pic of what they looked like.

When replacing the U-joints I noticed they said "Ford" on them. I figured one of two things. Originals or OEM replacements. I think they were OEM replacements only for the fact that it looked like the owner before the previous, had taken the car to get serviced at the dealership.

I bought the car off of a kid, and I think he abused it really bad. I was certain he was the reason for the crappy clutch, crack in the bell housing, and the now discovered shot u-joints. I couldn't be for certain... until 94gtfreak PMed me this...

Now I know

Luckily I already changed out all the horrible fluids! I'm glad I got the Mustang. Now to bring her back to life...

More to come...

Yeah, lol

The difference is NIGHT AND DAY! On both the brakes and the u-joints. I can't wait for this rain to stop so that I can driving the freeways and really take her out on a run.
