To get it running for starters. My birthday is coming up and my brother asked if he should just buy me a new fuel pump. I believe the stock one is a 110 and I'm not sure about going too high just yet. I was thinking about a 160 but really not sure. With nothing done to the car yet should I just get a stock replacement since they are only like $80. I'm really not sure I just want the damn thing running again.

Edit: Ok call me dumb but what is the advantages and disadvantages of a higher LPH pump

you need more LPH when you start using bigger injectors/make more horsepower.

Here is a rough idea of HP for pump size.

88 lph 222 hp
110 lph 278hp
155 lph 391hp
190 lph 481hp
255 lph 644hp
320 lph 808hp

Alright so since I have no plan on upgrading the injectors anytime soon I should just stick with the stock 110 then.

The higher-volume pumps cost more, use a little more power, recirculate the fuel more and can be a little finicky to get into the bracket.

But like Steve said, if you plan on big power in the future, might as well use a big one now.

I just put in a new Walbro 255lph over the weekend. I can't see how it would hurt to put too big of one in. Unless maybe if you buy 1 for turbo as they are usually higher pressure then the standard pumps. I think the only high pressure one is a 255lph walbro pump.

My car had a 190lph in it when I bought it. It still had factory 19# injectors and that pump worked fine until I put the 30# injectors in. It ran out of fuel about 4400RPM at that point.

might as well just put in the 255. no sense in putting the smaller one in when you might need to put a bigger one in down the road.
