Hi all. I purchased a hose kit upper, lower and heater hoses. The kit didnt come with the heater hose from the water pump to the firewall. I removed a well worn part number 18077L molded hose from that spot. I cant seem to find a molded hose to replace it that isnt discontinued. Will standard heater hose work? its a really tight bend to clear the tensioner/alternator bracket.... Thanks for any input.

Check on LMR, all of the factory molded coolant lines are available.

That particular hose is getting hard to find. Didn't see it on LMR, surprisingly. Most sites I looked at had it listed as not available, or didn't even show it. Standard heater hose of the correct diameter will work, but without that 3D s-shaped (or whatever shape it is) end, it will be awkward at the water pump end... as the molded hose has those multiple bends to get around all the oe components at that area of the engine.

Jegs says they have it, albeit for a hefty price...

Also found a cross reference but I have not checked but the first on from NAPA and it seemed like the right one.

And every one of those is listed as either not available or not in stock.

Well that sucks. Sorry man as this interests me as well. I have a 351W in my T-Bird and cannot use the metal heater core lines down the intake and used regular heater hose with some fittings I made up. This preformed hose would look way better.

Go back and look at those hoses for the coyote swap, you may be able to find a formed hose that can be spliced in..
