Welcome, welcome! And I can't let your pics go by without saying "now that's a shade-tree to mechanic under!"

Love to hear about the car. And don't be afraid to pull up a chair, crack open your favorite beverage, and join in the ruckus around here. Classics Tech has tons of answers for the Stang; I'm actually getting more "regular guy" tech info on my Cougar (wasn't looking for it, but I "inherited" it) over on StangNet Classics Tech than I have on a rather large dedicated Cougar Forum. And many of the Tech gurus are also playing over here in Classics Talk. I'm thinking you'll like the place

I've got a 67 short step. Do you post at 67-72chevytrucks.com? I use the same id there.

Thanks guys. I think the plans are for a pretty much stock rebuild. We had the machine shop assemble the short block and its ready to pick up. We need to find some heads and get intake/carb and some other misc. stuff. It needs a little rust repair on the floorboards and on a door corner or two.

Very nice truck When I was a teenager; my older brother (actually, they're all older than me) had a '67 shortie with a 292/wide 4-speed. "The Tank"; ugly but doggone effective at hauling stuff.
