Well, I got my new h-pipe with no cats with my 2 chamber flows and it sounds sick, i love it. I want to know what the next mod i should put in my car.. It is mostly stock cept for a few things. Some guy that knows mustangs recently told me to look into throttle body. i'm really new at this stuff and im not really sure where to look and what to look for?

Also i hear flowmasters arent the best mufflers so i was wondering to get muffler that are really loud and sound awesome whats some good mufflers?

Hold off on the throttle body until you get a new intake. I'd try a 75mm/76mm mass airflow sensor.

Did you bump the timing and check TPS voltage? Since you have an offroad H, you can always ditch the smog pump. The Maf is a good suggestion, and you can always throw on an electric fan since ya got the new alt.

Your first mods should be as follows (my take):

In order of Priority
1) Subframe connectors (SFC's) full length ones are prefered
2) Gears: 3.73:1 or 4.10:1 seem to be the popular choices
3) Buy a K&N panel filter (no CAI kit required) and put it in the stock box
4) Exhuast (headers, hi-flo cats, mufflers)
5) 3G alt upgrade / electric fan
6) Larger MAF, TB (your car will be speed density so skip the MAF part of this)
7) Fix the weak brakes

After those, it's pretty much up to you. There are plenty of Super Chargers or Heads, Cam and Intake packages to choose from.

Also, don't forget about the basic tune up which should include:
1) Changing all of the fluids (oil, coolant, trans, rear end, brake and some of the power steering)
2) Plugs: (non-platnum type) Autolite or Motorcraft
3) Oil filter: Motorcraft or equivalent (not FRAM)
4) Air filter: see above
5) Plug wires: Ford Motorsport (FRPP) 9mm units are great
6) Cap / Rotor
7) Oxygen sensors

Thought I saw gears in there. Definately get gears. I don't know how big of a difference subframe connectors make because mine were installed before I got the car, but everyone reccomends them and at $150 or less, you really can't go wrong there. But if you're interested in doing engine only or want to know the next engine mod, I still suggest the mass air meter. Then either an intake or headers.

I was always a big fan of doing suspension first. Then move onto gears, exhaust, and finally intake (bolt on wise).

you could pick up a 94-95 maf for cheap and throw that on for now. you wont need an aftermarket maf until you do a h/c/i or go with forced induction. just a suggestion, i would pick gears over a maf.

I and others were referring to an intake manifold. As far as the MAF sensor, I'd try a 73mm C&L unit. They're about $160. It increases airflow and calibrates the a/f ratio better. The stock maf meter is 5mm smaller than the throttle body creating a choking point. Me and a buddy put one one on his car when it was stone stock besides 4.10s and Flows and it made the car feel stronger on top-end. It's worth the price definately.

Every engine has an intake manifold on it. Yours says 5.0. H.O. on it. The intake manifold is the third most important part in your combo for power production. By itsself, it should be worth 10-15hp.

I UNDERSTAND EVERYONE HAS THERE PREFERENCES, BUT THE WAY I SEE IT GENERALLY YOU CAN GET A H-PIPE AND X-PIPE FOR ABOUT THE SAME PRICE, YOU MAY END UP PAYING A LITTLE MORE FOR A X-PIPE IN SOME CASES. WITH THAT SAID THE WAY I UNDERSTAND IT A H-PIPE EQUALIZES PRESSURE IN PIPES WITH A CROSSOVER PIPE WITHOUT ANY (SMOOTH) FLOW DESIGN. THE X-PIPE EQUALIZES PRESSURE AND FLOW FOR MORE POWER. SO I BELIEVE A X-PIPE IS SUPERIOR OVER H-PIPE. ANY OTHER OPINIONS?

If you are new to Mustangs, your next purchase should be a book about them. Seriously, it's better that you learn more about the components of your car and how they work before you go blowing money on things that other people tell you are good. Ask anyone who has been into these cars for a long time, they have spent a ton of money on parts that they didn't need or buying new parts because one upgrade does not work with a past upgrade. For example, if you go buy a new mass air flow sensor this week, then decide you want injectors next week, you will have to get that new mass air flow sensor recalibrated because it won't work with your new injectors.

I would recommend the 5.0 Technical Reference and Performance Handbook.
