Hi guys I'm new here and I might be buying a Mustang but need some advice first. I'm looking at a 1998 Mustang GT with a 402ci Crate Motor, SVO Supercharger, Tremac 5 speed, 355 posi rear end, 18 inch wheels/new tires. I didnt find out how many miles on it yet but lets say it's in good condition. They are asking $10 OBO / Trade. If it has reasonable amount of miles and pretty good condition, how much do you think this would be worth? KBB says around $7125 with 50k miles and fair condition. So with the motor and SC what would you guys think? I'm pretty sure the 402 crate is an ls1 so along with a sc it has some good potential.Any advice is appreciated thanks.

Welcome to the boards!

The sub-forum for the '98's is the mod-motor sub-forum (this is fox tech). Those guys will be more conversant (than I at least) about how this combo sounds.

I would want to know A LOT more about the car before deciding if it was something I wanted. Narrowing down what motor is in it would really help, for one.

Good luck.

Possibly it was edited after theses other posts, but the car has a 402 motor. Which would be a pushrod windsor me thinks.

Hard call, but I'd say 10 for the car if good condition mechanically and appearance wise would be reasonable.
