First id like to say man i love this damn car i just picked up this afternoon. Im here to try to learn ass much as i can about this car to try to improve it any way possible! I drove it for about 30 miles today, felt good, engine feels strong, tranny shifts good, clutch needs adjusting bad, my left foot hurts!
Here is a link to what i got, please feel free to critique my purchase as to whether i got a good deal or not http://www.houston-imports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=418967 got her for $3700

First things need taking care of:
1. clutch needs to be looked at feels stiff ass hell?
2. speedometer not working
3. AC needs recharging ( i hope its all it needs)
4. Few burned out bulbs
thats all i noticed for now

thanks in advanced for any help

hopefully you didn't buy into the 350-400 hp bit. seems like a nice combo though. put a set of heads on there and she'll really be opened up. check the frame ( if u haven't already) ... being a rebuilt title would shy me away... but if it checks out fine u def got a nice car for a decent price!

LOL def not bit because of the HP statements i just bought it cause it drove pretty nice, tires and wheels are in excellent condition and the interior is fairly clean ass well, paint looks extremely nice as hell. Is this a five lug conver? or did they come like that in 93?...guy i bought it from said salvage tittle was because previous owner defaulted on the payments and something happened with the lot he got it from, iono if its true or not. body looks straight, i will have to take it to my mech to get it up on the racks and check the frame just to make sure, but overall im very satisfied

Im wanting to somewhat daily drive the car, about 40+ miles atleast, what kind of MPG should i expect with the current set up. I read a few threads where they said 30lbs inject might be a lil too much? iono, should i do somehting about them, wanting to get reliability from it and fairly good mpg 20+mpg. Was driving around the block today and noticed that the rpms fluctuated a bit too much, hadnt seen it doing that, kind of stalled on me cause i was coming to a stop and had it in neautral, battery voltage seems kind of low as well maybe it needs a new batt?

1. Buy a "universal" Ford clutch cable, firewall adjuster, and aluminum quadrant from Maximum Motorsports. Install. Problem solved.
2. Speedo cable and/or speedo gear (plugs on the end of the tranny side of the speedo cable, on the end of the Vehicle Speed Sensor/VSS, easy install).
3. Three cans of R134a, a new accumulator, and an oriface tube.
4. Sylvania Long Life bulbs, available from Wal-Mart (cheapest I've found, anyway).

Bonus:

5. Stangnet sticker in back window.

First i would like to know why he had to bang the underside of the stock hood, denting it to make it clear the stock engine? IM very confused by this, unless he has a big spacer or something. And def. sell the stuff thats too big on the car and use it for more useful mods. The 30lbs injectors are overkill and totally useless on your car, also he said something about performance fuel rail or some sort, the stock rail is perfectly fine, You need to have a mechanic take a look at thing to verify whats bull **** and whats not, but either way it looks like a clean nice car. So thumbs up to ya man and welcome to the stangnet

The five lug is a conversion that he must have done or the previous owner, they all came 4 lug from the factory. So this was definaley changed over, but thats a good thing, thats one last thing you have to do lol. Check out the back brakes too see if they are disc or drum.

yeah in the article that you posted showing that it was for sale, the guy said it needed a new hood cuz the engine sat too high, so he hammered it to clear the engine, I was curious as to why he had to do this.
