Hey everyone im new on here and i was wanting to know a little bit I was wandering if anyone has ever done a computer swap on a 94 mustang. I wanting to change my computer over to a 93 computer but i dont know what all i need to do this and i thought i would ask you guys on here. The guy at Dallas mustang said i should look into doing this b/c my computer was acting funny. So any help you guys give me is greatly appreciated thanks alot Kurt

Going to an A9L is not that easy. Not because of the parts. It's the price of these parts. A few companies have put out conversions but they are just as expensive as buying a TwEECer or PMS unit (if you don't know these are tuning devices). So your best bet is going with one of these. With the pre-93 swap there is no tunability. With a TwEECer or PMS you can tune the car to your needs.

Price really doesnt bother me to much at this point. I already have bout $8,000 dollars tied up now so whats another couple hundred. I just talked to Tommy Vaughn motorsports and ordered the adapter now all i need is a computer for it and it should be here this week as well. They said there that with just that it should help me gain 30 hp or so and better driveabilty

Well like Vibrant said, they usually run around the same as a tweecer ($350-$550) or a PMS ($900) so it's not cheap. Welcome to stangnet BTW. :nice:

Welcome.

And I agree with the above suggestions regarding a TwEECer or PMS, or for that matter get a custom dyno tune. I would do that before doing a computer swap.
