Damn you guys are harsh. Welcome to stangnet. My grandmother lives in McDonough. Is that showroom/shop with the ac cobra and aluminium block 427FE fastback still there on the corner? I feel your pain about that place there really isn't anything to do there... exactly why my grandparents went there. Anyways as said before, a NOTCH would be preferable. They are lighter and stronger and fairly uncommon. You really can't beat that combo unless you like the look of the hatch. As far as motor if you are gonna spring for a rebuild, I would seriously look into a stroker unless you were going to reuse your parts. Instead of the 185s AFRs, for a 306 I would use a 165... but again, more cubes is more power and 331s do respond well to boost too. First decide on what rebuild then we can help you with the parts.

I think you meant to say notch.

Good luck on ypur project, you ought to be able to get somthing real nice with what you have saved. You should go to Renolds, Ga. for the NMRA Event or the FFW in Commerce, Ga. coming up in April. That would be a good place to see alot of cars some racing and get some ideas. I have been to the one at Renolds a few years ago and I might just go to one of them this year, I really need to get away from this snow:lol:
