Now here was the funny part. I sat in the car and my head was actually hitting the head liner. I was like "What the Deuce?"
The body guy said, yeah, this is what it is like to sit on seats with new springs and new seat foam. Before, it was like sinking into a bean bag.
- New carpet . I would grade it as a B
- New door panels: B+
- New dash pad: A (coming from the original ford tooling and costing $400, I would expect nothing less)
- new seat foam: C. passenger side was too thick and had to be shaved like a very wooly sheep. The foam is thick and firm but it takes a lot of work to get it to fit right.
- New upholstory: Actually not bad. I would give it an A-
- New head liner: A
- New ABS plast quarter trim panels: F. Complete junk. We reused the old ones, which were cracked because they were preferable to the $200 ones I got.
