New kid

Howdy folks!
Just bought a 98 with v6 auto, it's been lightly crunched in the front, no biggie. Gonna try to put it back together for a comute car, won't take much.
I gotta ? Where can I find out what the vin numbers mean? I want to find out what this car was delivered with, so that I can tell what has been changed.
I appreciate all the help I can get.

Thanks, I wasn't sure what info the vin would reveal, but it wans't as much as I expected. Guess I'll have to find out what is under this cars skin the old fashioned way, crawl under it and look
