i made the mistake of using my old 100,000 mile lifters off my old motor, and it ticks when it gets hot! now i gottta take it apart and put new ones in. Mustangs Unl't i believe has FRPP ones for like 119.00 put em in, you wont regret it.
I got new FMS ones when i did my H/C/I and i have the same problem as GreenMustangGT. So i would say maybe look at crane ones or something. Maybe i just got a bad batch or something, im sitting here wishin i would have left my stock ones in.
whell i dont know about the brand, but i used my old ones, so i think that may be my problem, as for white devil, what did you set for preload, and tell mehow you did it. The crane ones are like 150. if you think there better, go for it
I was trying to think of something funny and relevant, so I came up with that after my GF called.
Back on target.. I think I should go with crane then. They are mostly just cam makers so they should have good stuff. If anyone can get a part number I'd apreciate it. I'll get looking for it now.
I put in new ones from Ed Curtis (Eaton replacement lifters)...when i added the h/c/i...though the factory lifters last a very long time...I figured I wanted a new/new "mating" surface between metal to metal on the cam/lifters...
