Sorry, but nothing beats a mint set of cheese graters IMO.

I'm with ya' on this, even though I'm sure we're a very small minority. I love LX tails, but with a GT wing above and a GT bumper below ... meh. It just never looks right, to me. GT lenses go on GT's, LX lenses go on LX's. I can see putting '87+ LX lenses on a pre-87 LX, or vise-versa, but otherwise ... meh. Better than Altezzas, though.

Is it just the lighting in the pics, or does that red paint have some serious oxidation going on?

Looks better. I love the GT lights on a GT, but only if they are mint.

Looks good but, I have always liked the look of black GT tails on non black GT's. Or 85/86 tails.

Ford should have left the '86 or SVO stlye lenses on the 87+ GT's, those look the best IMO. The cheese graters remind me of those 80's fad louvered sunglasses or the louvered tail light lense things people used to put on pickup trucks; way too dated.

I never liked LX tails on GTs until I put them on mine (lol), but they were cheap and I really wanted to ditch those ugly cheese graters. Then I got into a tail light smasher accident this year and the guy paid for my new Cobra tails.

I'm down with the LX tails. Now you need a Cobra rear bumper.

I gotta agree that GT tails go great with a stock bumper and wing. Change the bumper and wing, then LX's look good. Stock look with LX's in kinda blah and IMO very played out.
